Quando me mudei para o meu apartamento atual, o primeiro ambiente que me deu vontade de renovar foi a sala. Eu tinha vontade de trocar o papel de parede mas sabia que teria muito trabalho por isso acabei deixando por último. Enquanto não fazia isso, brinquei muito com os móveis que tinha… e fui renovando os outros ambientes primeiro.

Quando finalmente resolvi começar, eu já sabia que gostaria de deixar aparente a tinta que havia por baixo do revestimento de papel e fiquei pensando qual seria a melhor maneira de valorizá-lo…

Como eu gosto muito de paredes escuras, achei que uma moldura preta e acabamento de verniz sobre tudo seria uma boa solução.

O resultado me agradou bastante, tanto que continuo sem conseguir pendurar quadros nas paredes da sala… Enquanto isso, gosto de olhar para elas como se fossem uma obra de arte e continuo brincando com os móveis! A próxima mudança será colocar umas molduras antigas sobre as portas… consegui algumas originais da época da construção da casa mas elas ainda precisam de um trato.

A foto superior desse post foi a minha primeira tentativa de arrumação… depois continuei mudando, por exemplo, como apareceu nos post sobre almofadas, cantinho aconchegante e lareira.

Agora já estou bastante ansioso pra instalar as molduras sobre as portas e finalmente fotografar a sala toda!! 😉

When I moved into my current apartment, the first room I wished to renovate was the living room. I wanted to take out the wall paper covering but I knew that would cost me a lot of work so I didn’t begin with it. Meanwhile I “played” a lot with the furniture I had… and started renovating the other rooms first.

When I finally decided to get my hands dirty, I already knew I would love to let visible the paint that was underneath the wallpaper and wondered how to show it at its best!

Since I love dark walls, I thought black frames and a varnish finishing could be a good choice.

The result pleased me so much that I still cannot hang pictures on the walls… I still enjoy looking at them as if they were art works and go on playing with my furniture! The next change though will be bringing old frames over the doors… I found some original ones from the time this house was built but they might get some new treatment.

The title picture in this post shows the first arrangement I did with the furniture after the walls got done… but I kept changing it as I showed here in the blog for instance in the posts about pillows, cozy corner and mantel.

Now I’m looking forward to having the frames over the doors and finally being able to make full view pictures of the living room!! 😉
