Viena é a cidade mais segura do mundo.Isso não sou eu quem diz – eu só concordo hehe Segundo os 6 últimos reports anuais de Mercer Studies, Viena é simplesmente a cidade com melhor qualidade de vida no mundo. Somam-se à segurança a boa infra estrutura urbana, a oferta cultural e os serviços públicos oferecidos pelo governo.

Por isso eu posso me dedicar a um hobby delicioso que é sair à noite para passear um pouco pela cidade sem medo de exibir o celular para fotografar tudo, ver vitrines e descobrir coisas com tranquilidade, sem multidão aproveitando o clima da cidade (mais) vazia. Em geral faço isso logo que termino minha apresentação no Teatro Odeon onde atualmente apresentamos a criação original Anagó. Depois de 110 espetáculos encerramos a segunda temporada do espetáculo no próximo sábado. Corrre pra ver!

A transformação do centro da cidade desde que cheguei é fascinante. Bom, já se passaram mais de XX anos (a censura proibiu revelar hahaha)… As ruas se tornaram mais claras, vitrines mais modernas, gente jovem visitando bares e restaurantes abertos mais tempo (antigamente tudo fechava no máximo à meia noite, só sobravam “esconderijos” e nada de comida!)

Num dos meus últimos passeios fui a uma região do centro onde atualmente se acumulam as marcas mais famosas do mundo, algumas delas formando o chamado Goldenes Quartier, o Quarteirão Dourado de Viena. Pense em “O Beijo” de Klimt e logo se entende a relação íntima de Viena com o ouro! É o mercado de luxo vienense que sempre existiu, claro, mas agora também se tornou mais visível, mais presente na cidade. Marcas que dispensam apresentação dão o tom na imagem do centro antigo vienense, uma das áreas mais procuradas por turistas e centro nevrálgico da vida da cidade. Com as reformas impostas por essa verdadeira revolução comercial, também a arquitetura e a decoração acompanham a nova imagem que a cidade vai vestindo. Ainda bem que as leis de preservação histórica são tão exigentes quanto respeitadas e assim a identidade formada ao longo de tantos séculos não fica ameaçada. Recomendo o passeio!!

Vienna is the safest city in the world. It’s not me who says that – I only agree hehe According to the last 6 annual reports by Mercer Studies, Vienna is actually the city with the highest life quality standards in the world. Beyond security other factors counting much are urban infrastructure, cultural offer and the public services.

That is why I can dedicate mysely to a delicious hobby such as walking around at night through the city without any fear when pulling my cellphone from the pocket to photograph, looking at windowshops and finding new things with tranquility. With no crowds I enjoy the mood of the (almost) empty city. Normally, I do this after finishing my evening show at Odeon Theatre where we currently present the second season of an original creation called Anagó. After 110 shows we close the season next saturday. So rush see it!!

The transformation occurred in the center of the city since I arrived here is fascinating. Well, that was more than XX years ago (censorship didn’t allow me to reveal that hahaha)… Street got more light, windowshops are more modern and the young people visit bars and restaurants for much longer time in the night (in those times everything closed at midnight and after that there would be only some burrows left and no food at all!)

In one of my last walks by night I went to a region in the center where you currently find all the world famous luxury brands, some of them getting together at the so called Goldenes Quartier, the Golden Block of Vienna. Think of Klimt’s “Kiss” and you will imediatly understand the intimate relationship between Viena and gold! It’s Vienna’s luxury market  – that always existed of course – getting more visible, more present in the city. Brands that dismiss presentation set the tone in the image of the old viennese center, one of the tourist’s favorite areas and nevralgic point of this city’s life. With all the renovations imposed by this real commercial revolution, architecture and decoration also follow the new image the city is getting accustomed to “wear”. Luckily, historic preservation laws are just as demanding as respected by citizens and so the identity resulting after hundreds and hundreds of years is not destroyed by it. I deeply recommend a stroll around there!!
