Hoje é a quinta semana das 10 casas mais impressionantes exibidas em 2015 por “T”, a revista de life style do New York Times aqui no blog.

Quem já viu as paredes do meu apartamento – que esse blog já publicou várias vezes… – vai entender rapidinho porque eu gostei tanto dessa casa. Mas também é verdade que eu tenho um carinho muito grande por Cuba por trabalhar no teatro há tantos anos com tantos colegas de lá, que nunca se cansam de contar milhares de estórias de seu país. Fico fascinado pelas imagens da arquitetura, abandonada sim por um lado mas, pelo menos, ainda em pé… ao contrário da arquitetura histórica brasileira, por exemplo, que vai sendo rapidamente destruída pela desenfreada especulação imobiliária, sem nenhum escrúpulo para a memória do país.

Today is the fifth week with the 10 most impressive houses shown in 2015 by “T”, the life style magazine from the NY Times here in the blog.

Those who already saw my pad’s walls – this blog featured it many times… – will quickly understand  why I loved this house so much. But it is also true that I have a very big affection for Cuba since I’ve been working in the theatre for so many years with some dear cuban colleagues who never stop telling thousands of stories about their country.It’s so fascinating for me to see images of that architecture that is at one side blighted but, at least, it is still there… the opposite of what happens with brazilian historic architecture that is being quickly destroyed by unbridled real state speculation, with no scruples at all for the country’s memory.
