Dia bonito hoje! Mesmo com um vento muito frio, o sol está quentinho, céu azul, gostoso para passear. Aproveitei que precisava fazer umas comprinhas pra pular da cama logo cedo e acabei indo tomar um café reforçado no Balthasar.

Praterstrasse é o nome de uma larga alameda de castanheiras no segundo distrito vienense – Cidade Leopoldo – e uma das ruas que mais se beneficiam com a modernização que anda acontecendo no nosso bairro. O Café Balthasar é um dos mais gostosos da cidade e fica bem ali, no número 38. Além de ter uma oferta especial de grãos, o Balthasar oferece vários produtos ligados à cultura do café e do chá para aumentar o prazer de quem prefere saborear a bebida em casa.

O café é feito numa máquina italiana realmente excelente (da qual eles, com toda razão, muito se orgulham) e o meu prazer aumenta porque a atmosfera do bar é leve e super caprichada, sempre com uma exposição de fotografias inusitadas. Tudo está muito bem documentado visualmente no site e no facebook do Café mas eu não resisti e fui ao banheiro só para fazer uma fotografia para o post pois desde que eu estive ali pela primeira vez, fiquei querendo que esse banheiro fosse na minha casa!!!

Beautifull day today!! Even though there is a very cold wind, the sun is warming and the sky is blue… perfect for a morning walk. I woke up earlier to go shopping for the weekend but what I really had in mind was a stop at Balthasar for a good breakfast.

Praterstrasse is the name of a broad chestnuts’ promenade in the second district in Vienna – called Leopold City – and that is one of the streets taking more advantage of the modernization going on in our district. Café Balthasar is one the best in town and you find it right there in this street at number 38. Beyond a very special collection of grains, Cafe Balthasar offers a big range of products belonging to coffee & tea culture to increase the delight of those who prefer to relish the beverage at home.

The coffe at the bar is handmade in an excelent italian machine (and of course they are totally right to be proud of it) but my pleasure is even bigger drinking my coffee in such a light and well done atmosphere in which you always find surprising photography exhibitions. Everything is very well documented with pictures in their own site and facebook but I could not resist going to the restroom jut to take a picture of it to post here in the blog because since I was there for the very first time I wished that restroom were at my own place!!
