A etapa vienense do projeto internacional Dancing Museums aconteceu semana passada na Galeria de Pinturas da Academia de Belas Artes de Viena. Nossa… esse nome é comprido demais… olha só como fica em alemão: Gemäldegalerie der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien! Deviam encurtar!

Bom, continuando o projeto faremos várias visitas guiadas por artistas ao acervo. São bailarinos e atores (eu participo cantando!) que apresentam as obras da galeria sob uma nova perspectiva, quero dizer, cada artista usa sua linguagem para revelar algo sobre os quadros. Para alguns, isso pode ser abstrato demais mas o objetivo é aguçar a percepção da plateia e não dar uma aula que fica explicando cada quadro tintim por tintim. Artista não gosta de ter que explicar tudo em palavras… perde a magia.

 

Hoje à tarde faremos o primeiro tour. Todos os detalhes estão aqui no site do museu mas como infelizmente o site é só em alemão (outra coisinha que eles podiam melhorar…) transcrevo aqui os horários de apresentação em maio: dias 17 (16:30-18:00 hs), 19 (10:00-11:30 hs), 22 (15:30-17:00 hs) e 25 (12:00-13:30 hs). O tour é grátis e a entrada regular nesse museu custa 8€.

As fotos desse post são do trabalho apresentado por um dos coreógrafos residentes do projeto Dancing Museums, o italiano Fabio Novembrini, e conta com a participação da coreógrafa Liz King, responsável pela etapa austríaca do projeto e diretora da cia de dança D. ID (dance identities). Numa sala repleta de quadros representando a Virgem Maria (publiquei vários deles no dia das mães), Fabio e Liz apresentaram um duo intrepretando a troca de papéis na relação entre mãe e filho em idade adulta. Deixaram no ar uma emoção silenciosa, sem alardes, mas cheia de amor e carinho.

The viennese phase of the international project Dancing Museums happened last week at the Paintings Gallery at the Fine Arts Academy in Vienna. Wow… such a long name… look how it gets in german: Gemäldegalerie der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien! They should shorten it!

So, as a continuation of the project we are going to offer many visits to the museum with artists guiding the audience. Dancers and actors (I participate as a singer) show works of the gallery under a new perspective, I mean, each artist uses her/his own language to reveal something about the paintings. For some people this may be a bit too abstract but the aim is to sharpen the audience’s sensitivity and not to give a lesson teaching every single detail about the paintings. Artists don’t like to explain everything with words… it looses the magic.

This afternoon we are going to make the first tour. All the details are here in the gallery’s site but since unfortunately the site is only in german (another little thing they should improve…) I transcribe here the shedule of guided tours for may: 17th (04.30-6 p.m.), 19th  (10-11.30 a.m.), 22nd (3.30-5 p.m.) and 25th (12-01.30 p.m.). The tour is gratis and the regular entrance costs 8€.

The pictures in this posting show the work presented by one of Dancing Museums resident choreographers, the italian Fabio Novembrini, and counts with the participation from Liz King, responsible for the austrian phase and director of D.ID (dance identities). In a room full of pictures representing Virgin Mary (I published some of them on mother’s day), Fabio and Liz showed a duo intrepetating the exchange of roles in the relationship between mother and son as adults. They let in space a silent emotion, with no “fanfare”, simply full of love and care.
