Estou há poucos dias no Brasil, ainda tentando me adaptar ao novo horário e ritmo… Procurar beleza virou uma mania e eu já achei algumas coisas bem interessantes que certamente virarão posts em breve! Como alguns seguidores do meu Instagram comentaram, o novo contexto determinaria um novo estilo e isso já pode ser notado nas últimas fotos que postei lá e hoje compartilho aqui no blog também.

 

O filósofo Kant dizia que não acreditava em idéias que não nasceram de um corpo em movimento. Sempre me lembro desse pensamento pois conheço a profusão inspiradora que acontece em plena caminhada. Andar não é só mexer as pernas… é olhar, observar e muito, muito pensar.

Nesse exercício de caminhar procurando beleza, observando e pensando sobre tudo o que está ao meu redor, tenho visto que a beleza na cidade de São Paulo existe mas é muito mais escondida do que nas cidades que normalmente visito na Europa. A beleza permanece ligada a espaços privados, trancada a sete chaves ou, no mínimo, atrás de grades que dificultam a fotografia. O Poder Público finge não saber a importância do espaço público para a saúde da sociedade porque os únicos que a ele interessam são os que podem pagar para suprir suas necessidades. Os passos feitos nos últimos anos para reverter essa situação já começa a ser levianamente abortado sob aplausos daqueles que só se preocupam em garantir as flores de seus próprios jardins. Aos outros, restam o pó e a beleza escondida atrás de grades elétricas… mas quem se importa?

I’m since a few days in Brazil, still trying to adapt myself to the new shedule and rhythm… Searching for beauty turned into an obsession and I already found some very interesting things that will certainly become postings very soon! As some followers of my Instagram noticed, the new context sets a new style and this can already be seen in the last pictures I posted there and share now here in the blog too.

The philosopher Kant used to say he didn’t believe in thoughts that don’t come from a body in mouvement. I always remember this because I know the inspiring profusion that happens at full walk. Walking is not only mouving legs… it is looking, observing and a great deal of thinking.

During this kind of exercize which is walking in search for beauty, observing and thinking about everything that surrounds me, I have noticesd that beauty in Sao Paulo City does exist but remains much more hidden than in cities I am used to be in Europe. Beauty is always connected to private spaces here, under lock and key or, at least, behind bars that also make it rather dificult to photograph. The Government pretend not to know the importance os public space for society’s health because the ones “who interest” are those who already can pay to meet their necessities. The steps made in the last years to reverse this situation already begin to be frivolously aborted under applause of those who are only worried about saving the flowers inside their own gardens. To the others, only dust and beauty behind electric bars is left… but who cares?
